From: Stumbling In The Bloom (Lantzville, BC: Oolichan Books, 2005)
that bore the weight of pulse and trill and is shaking it off
that inhabits its allotted space fully in diminishing doodles
that knew from before the beginning it wouldn't be harking far
after flight and song
that in its tangential rooted inherent stillness uninterruptedly
senses elementals, and is therein expressive
but immune to lamentation
that is the lateral receptiveness of a vertical patient persistence tipped
in nonchalant fall-back from furthest untextured blue
undipped brush
of a painterly attention
at ease in the forest's grey-green foreground
at rest in the tensile essential mist of itself
