• August 2008: Editor of Black Marks on White Paper, a novel in progress by Alix Edmiston.
• June 2004 to June 2005: Editor of Nothing Ventured, a memoir in progress by George Fells.
• July 2002 to July 2003: Editor of French Classes, a memoir by Heather Cook.
• September 2000 to May 2001: Editor of novels Nights of Fire and Getting Laid by Paul Barker.
• September 1995 to April 1999: Advisory Editor for Books in Canada magazine. Responsible for choosing and assigning writers to review books of poetry and fiction. Also responsible for coming up with story ideas for major features. Consultation with writers and Managing Editor regarding finished copy.
• May 1995 to September 1995: Managing Editor for Fitzhenry & Whiteside. Responsible for contracting specialist consultants to check the accuracy of definitions of new words to be published in the revised Funk & Wagnalls Canadian College Dictionary.
• January 1995 to March 1995: Editor of Women's Use of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Other Drugs in Canada, a textbook for university students, published by the Addiction Research Foundation.
• October 1988 to February 1990: Associate Editor of Wedding Bells magazine and Young Living magazine. Responsible for assigning articles to writers; editing first drafts; dealing with writers regarding revisions; hands-on editing of copy; writing heads, decks, and call-outs; consulting with art director; proofing copy, galleys, and Cromalins; helping to create story line-up; use of software on both IBM and Macintosh systems.
• April 1987: Managing Editor of promotional issue of Aloud, a literary quarterly, which was to be published by Harbourfront pending funding. Responsible for the hands-on editing of copy; dealing with writers regarding editorial changes and revisions; writing heads, decks, and call-outs; consulting with art director; proofing copy, galleys, and Cromalins.
