where is the heart? my heart?
sometimes i wonder if mine ever
truly started—too much thinking—
someone's littlest little sister staggers
just learned to walk this summer
and my heart if it knew and forgot
must learn again how to talk
it's time it's time it's time
cbc journalists say they get it
thinking is not enough to live
carrot is not my talking stick
but white hemlock green heart...
breathe slow down and feel
sun move across still you
sitting yet moving hurtling
through this ever-expanding
we've got to recognize this place
all the peoples not just history
of long ago british loyalists out
of united rebelled colonies south
