David Rosenfield

David Rosenfield.
Born Montreal 1941. Always reclusive, but once very much a city boy, intrepid flaneur; now lives in Rockwood, Ontario, on 5 acres which he does his best to cultivate, with his wife Valerie, an IT maven, 2 dogs and a cat. (Would have horses too, certainly, but not until the fencing is done.)

Like so many other recluses, bruises easily. Regrets now that he was not more determined to make his voice known. A book of poetry, O Men O Compadres, was published in Montreal in 1962, by Les Editions d'orphee; in 1978 Playwrights Canada published his holocaust play, Hasid. He is still trying to find a publisher for his collection of Holocaust poetry, Journey, on which he has been working for the past 25 years. A selection of 6 of these poems appears here.HH
