Writng Philosophy

What I write is often multi-dimensional and symbolic. I try to use the particular as a window to the universal and to explore much of what is still beyond conscious grasp through the use of dream imagery, imagination and a distillation of language.

When I write I try to straddle the boundaries of the physical and the spiritual, the known and the unknown, in an attempt to offer a unique investigation of what lies in between.

I strive for a voice that is original, multifacted and sensitive and for language that is evocative and richly cadenced.

My work is an ongoing exploration of the links between what Gwendolyn MacEwen perceived as our "preworlds and afterworlds/and the present myriad inner worlds."
